Entry #0: A Beautiful Start
What you're about to get into.
Greetings everyone, hope all is going well with everyone. Today, I just wanted to share my opinion on a couple of blog posts that I highlighted out of a few. These were specifically chosen because they fall within my field of interest, the first of which will be an article regarding the recent change of Apple switching from "Lightning Cables" to "USB-C". The second blog is dealing with the recent outburst of UFO information that has come out from different sources around the globe but this one focuses specifically on NASA and takes on the angle of disagreeing. Sit back, buckle up, and enjoy the ride!
The ride takes off!
One thing I loved about the this article from The Verge is that the writer decides to take on an approach separate from the masses, that being that having the lightening cable still had its plusses against switching to USB-C. They wasted no time getting right into the subject of this post. While this was a professionally written article, it had life to it by the writer relating the news to their current situation and their own beliefs, making it engaging. My point of view may be biased because I too agree with this article that the previous ports were not such a hassle it was made out to be. Reading that article can help people see the opposite side of the argument and maybe think twice on if having lightning ports was actually that bad? This is the kind of energy I want to apply towards my own blogs, to get people talking about it on and off the screen or at least to spark a mental discussion and see both sides to a topic! The article definitely fits a casual/professional style as I have stated before that it adds life to the reading by letting the writer put their own personal views and opinions into this piece, giving us enough information about the writer themselves.

The means to an end!
I hope you all had a good or at least fun time reading! Let me know what you think of these two articles and your opinions towards them, what are some things you like vs what are some things you dislike? Do you agree or disagree with my points and opinions? As you can see I tend to favor writing that has personality to it, that's how I want my blogs to be, to build a community of people that share the same opinion or at least can combat mine and share their own.
I agree that the first blog comes off as more personal, which improves its quality. I think that it strikes a good balance of giving opinions and giving facts. I think that the topic of the blog helps support this style better than the second article, where in the second blog feels like it could have only been a informational blog.
