Entry #5: Protect yourself from mayhem like meow
The mayhem all-state commercials are amongst the funniest ads to ever exist on television, they're all pretty funny and quick to the point kind of like a tik-tok. This specific ad is definitely dedicated to all the brave cat owners out there, highlighting all the "fun" things that cats do like knocking over stuff, getting into things they shouldn't, being the predatory little fur balls they are. So let's take a quick dive in!
The message
First were greeted by our Mayhem character, playing the devious cat that the owners have brought in. We see him causing all sorts of trouble like hitting people, dropping rats on one of the owners, turning on the sink, and even implying that he ate the pet bird. We cat owners can definitely relate to at least one of these things happening with our little felines. He also reminds us that a cat still has that wild DNA of a tiger/lion. Pushing for us to have the best and right home insurance to make sure were covered up from all those pesky home damage costs caused by pets. Even though he was being a menacing cat, he also highlights how easy they can switch up and be fun/calm like him riding around on a Roomba. Or even throughout him narrating, he's laying on the couch with the other owner as she's on her phone.

This ad does An amazing job at letting us know right off the bat who this is targeting and if you ask me, they hit it right on the dot with how it feels owning a cat or any pet for that matter. It's not all about the cuteness and fun, there's the chaotic side of owning a pet as well especially when it comes down to property being damaged. So it'd be best to make sure that you're insured by an amazing insurance company like all-state to protect yourself from mayhem, like him.
I really enjoyed this blog. The organization felt very unique and the blog was engaging and straight to the point. I had similar thoughts about the ad and came away from it with the idea that accidents could happen to you, a common person, so you should think about our product.
